What to Expect on a Wailea Sunset Cruise
From Monday through Friday, we begin the day with guests boarding our luxury catamaran at Maluaka Beach, located in Makena. For our guests’ convenience, use our shuttle service, which runs from select Wailea Resorts to our boarding location. For the next two hours, revel in the peaceful and tranquil environment that is enhanced by views of the spectacular orange and yellow hues of the sunset that occur on the horizon.
You will be sailing aboard South Maui’s only catamaran, making the ocean waters your private space of solitude. While gently cruising along with gentle winds as your partner, you can expect above-and-beyond one-on-one service from our crew.

When booking a sunset cruise, be sure to plan on bringing your appetite, as we will satisfy it with a delicious selection of food and beverages. There is nothing quite like having assorted wine and spirits available from our open bar. Our food, supplied by Spoon & Key Market, is the perfect complement to go along with your beverage of choice. From Wagyu smash burgers and fresh fish to aged meats and caviar, your palate will be tingling and pleased with satisfying culinary delights.
Throughout the cruise, you will be “in the groove” with live music accompanying you along the way. And at sunset, guests can raise their glasses with a toast to the sun as it sets on the horizon.

Signature Deluxe Snorkel Tour
You will discover some of the best snorkeling on Maui when booking a reservation for our Signature Deluxe Snorkel outing. This is a true adventure to experience in Maui.
Like our sunset cruise, the tour begins with guests of all ages boarding in Makena at Maluaka Beach. We begin the 3.5-tour at 9:45 a.m., so you get to enjoy the morning vibe as we head to Molokini Crater, which is a sought-after destination for those who enjoy exploring the underwater depths.
Within the waters around Molokini, the views are more than you could imagine without seeing them firsthand for yourself. The crystal-clear waters provide underwater enthusiasts with the opportunity to observe the numerous fish species cruising the reef.
Because of our unique location in South Maui, this gives our boating guests the advantage of enjoying the Molokini area before the crowds arrive. After snorkeling the reef below, guests can change locations and continue snorkeling along Makena’s coastline. As an added bonus, be on the lookout for resident Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, who will also enjoy swimming with you and checking out the local scenery.
While onboard, savor the flavors of our three-course food menu, plus our tasteful bar. Your meal begins with courses one and two featuring fresh local fruit, rolls, parfaits, and yogurt, followed by the third course featuring an entrée, such as barbecue chicken sliders, salad, and a side dish. Finish with a fresh-baked dessert.
Our beverage menu is planned to please all palates with assorted cocktails, locally brewed beers, and a variety of liquor choices. There is also regular tea and green tea, freshly brewed coffee, flavorful juices, rich hot chocolate, and soft drinks.
Adventure Whale Watch Experience
For our guests who enjoy nature and want to see it up close and personal, add our Adventure Whale Watch tour to your things-to-do list. This extraordinary tour is available from December to April and lasts for two hours. It is the perfect outing for anyone who wants to experience the beauty and songs of Pacific humpback whales. The tour is designed for all ages and provides an incredible opportunity to be in the presence of one of the world’s sea creatures that weigh around 40 tons, with adult whales ranging in length from 40 to 52 feet.
The tour specializes in the specific months available, as this is when the whales return to Maui for the winter. The tour is an exciting adventure and full of surprises you may not expect. The magnificent water creatures like to put on a show, which often includes their whale songs, which have been sung for millions of years. Listen as the sounds of their songs are gently wafting across the waves. When they aren’t harmonizing, be mesmerized as these giants breach the waterline, which is something they often do. Whales can easily leap into the air as high as 40 feet. It is quite a sight to see.
For this tour, you will have access to select food and snacks, plus beer, liquor, and assorted cocktails. We also offer our shuttle service to the boarding point at Maluaka Beach. When the tour is over, we also offer our shuttle service back to select resorts.
